Missing Teeth

Get back your real smile by restoring gaps in the front or back of the mouth with crowns that sit comfortably on dental implants to provide a beautiful natural appearance while matching your existing natural teeth.

No Damage

After your natural tooth is extracted, the bone within the jaw will gradually dissolve away. Having dental implants will help support the shape of your face by conserving the bone and avoiding a caved-in appearance from a shrunken jaw.

Benefits of Dental Implants

Look Younger

If you want to enhance your appearance and perfect your smile it is a fact dental implants are second only to natural healthy teeth. Dental implants are the gold standard to replacing missing teeth.

Fix dentures

If you are having troubles with your denture, then dental implants can provide the perfect alternative. Dentures can be fixed to secure implants, so you no longer need to remove them at night. This will eliminate any insecurities of wearing dentures and improving self-confidence.

Denture Implants Consultation

An initial consultation with Dr Verani is carried out to outline a full treatment plan, costings and timeframe. A referral will be sent to a local dental practice where they will carry out a CBCT scan. The scan uses the latest technology to assess your bone density and create your individual treatment plan. This scan also helps us to determine the size of the implant and where the implant will be placed in the jaw.

Placing Your Denture Implants

During your placement appointment for dental implants Cheltenham the soft tissues are prepared under local anaesthetic and a hole is drilled into the jawbone in which a titanium dental implant is placed. A healing cap is placed on top of the implant and a temporary appliance is fitted to ensure aesthetic comfortability whilst 2 to 6 months of healing takes place. During this time the bone infuses to the implant ensuring stability when the permanent crown, bridge or denture is fitted.

Healing Phase

Throughout the healing phase, it is important to continue to wear your denture, ensuring no forces are placed on the healing implants causing damage.

Placing The Denture Implant

Once the implants are fully healed, we can then take impressions or moulds of your jaw so that your final implant denture can be custom-crafted. Roughly two weeks later, your completed natural-looking denture will be attached to the implants using a special retainer system, which consists of two components. One component is permanently attached to the implant, while the second is attached to the denture.

The components then click together, securing your denture safely in place to provide a much better cosmetic and functional result.
