Multiple Missing Teeth

Restore your smile with an implant supported bridge and regain the confidence to smile and look your best.

Where several teeth are missing, it is not necessary to replace each missing tooth with an implant. A bridge supported by two dental implants will provide you with natural looking teeth that are stable and secure.

Implant retained bridges can only require one implant, however this does depend on the size of the bridge. The permanent implants can last a lifetime and cannot be detected in your mouth, giving you the chance to regain confidence in your smile. The extra comfort and convenience make implants the next best thing to your natural teeth.

Other Implant Treatments

Missing Teeth

Get back your real smile by restoring gaps in the front or back of the mouth with crowns that sit comfortably on dental implants to provide a beautiful natural appearance while matching your existing natural teeth.

No Damage

After your natural tooth is extracted, the bone within the jaw will gradually dissolve away. Having dental implants will help support the shape of your face by conserving the bone and avoiding a caved-in appearance from a shrunken jaw.

Benefits of Dental Implants

Look Younger

If you want to enhance your appearance and perfect your smile it is a fact dental implants are second only to natural healthy teeth. Dental implants are the gold standard to replacing missing teeth.

Fix dentures

If you are having troubles with your denture, then dental implants can provide the perfect alternative. Dentures can be fixed to secure implants, so you no longer need to remove them at night. This will eliminate any insecurities of wearing dentures and improving self-confidence.

During your initial appointment for multiple missing teeth in Cheltenham we begin by carrying out a thorough assessment of your mouth, gums and teeth. This allows us to accurately plan your implant treatment.
A referral will be sent to a local dental practice where they will carry out a CBCT scan. The scan uses the latest technology to assess your bone density and create your individual treatment plan. This scan also helps us to determine the size of the implant and where the implant will be placed in the jaw.

It is crucial that you have sufficient bone to support any implants. However, if you do not have enough bone, you could still have dental implants. It is possible for us to safely and effectively correct your bone deficiency with techniques such as bone grafting and sinus lifts.

Placing The Implant

At the following appointment we carefully place your implant. This will take approximately around 60 minutes. You will be given a local anaesthetic to ensure you do not feel any discomfort during the treatment. We then open the gum, drill a small hole into the jawbone and place the implant into the opening. A healing cap is placed on top of the implant and a temporary appliance is fitted to ensure aesthetic comfortability whilst 2 to 6 months of healing takes place.

Healing Phase

The gum around the implant site will heal very quickly, there will be a small amount of discomfort however this can be managed with over the counter painkillers. Before you leave our reception team will book you a review appointment to check on the healing.

We allow healing for a period of two to six months, in this time the implant becomes an integral part of your jawbone. To make sure we get the best results we wait for the bone to infuse around the implant, this ensures stability when the permanent bridge is fitted.

Placing The Implant Bridge

Once the implant is fully healed, we can then take a mould of your teeth so that your final implant bridge can be custom made. After the bridge has been created it can be fixed on to the implant. We ensure that the new bridge will be indistinguishable from your natural teeth, to create an award-winning smile.
